THE INFORMATION WE NEED:

Ordering

When you place an order, we will ask for your contact information (i.e., name, shipping address, and e-mail address) and, if you are paying by credit card, financial information (like credit card number and expiration date.) We have partnered with a credit card processing company to assist us in processing your payment; however, this company does not retain, share, store, or use personally identifiable information for any secondary purposes. The information you provide us is used for processing and fulfilling your order and contacting you if we have problems processing your order.
Though we make every effort to preserve your privacy, we may need to disclose personal information when required by law and when we have a good-faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with a judicial proceeding, a court order or legal process.

Polling

Hikanoos offers interactive polls to users so they can easily share their opinions with other users and see what the Hikanoos audience thinks about important issues. Hikanoos uses a system to "tag" users after they have voted, so they can vote only once on a particular question. This tag is not correlated with information about individual users.

Hikanoos auctions

To actively participate in auctions, users must register (this is separate from Hikanoos registration). During registration the user is required to supply a username and password, along with a name, full address, daytime phone, and credit card information. Hikanoos will never divulge personally identifiable information to a third party (except to comply with federal and state laws).

Message Boards/Forums

Users of the Hikanoos Message Boards and bulletin board must register separately for these services (both are free of charge) in order to post messages, although they needn't register to visit the site. During registration the user is required to supply a username, password, and email address. Hikanoos will never divulge personally identifiable information to a third party (except to comply with federal and state laws).

Electronic Newsletters (Dispatches)

Hikanoos offers a free electronic newsletter to users. Hikanoos gathers the email addresses of users who voluntarily subscribe. Users may remove themselves from this mailing list through the subscription management pages. Users can also subscribe to the newsletters at the time of registration.

Hikanoos delivers only its own newsletters, marketing and product offerings via email to only registered recipients from our subscription center. You will not receive any third party offerings or information. The email tracking system recognizes the URL that was clicked, and records some information about you and your computer, such as the email address that you provided to us, the browser, operating system and IP address.

We have a strict anti SPAM policy.

WHAT WE DO WITH YOUR INFORMATION:

The private information that you give us when you place an order or utilize one of our special services is used to process and fulfill your order or request. This information may be combined with other personally identifiable information (such as demographic information and past purchase history) available from our records. This information will be used to make our future efforts on product development more helpful and relevant to you.
